The Consumers Affairs Agency (CAA) has published on 16 December 2025 (under CAA Notification No. 683 of 2025) a partial amendment of Specifications and Standards for Foods, Food additives etc. (Act No. 370 of 1959) to revise the maximum residue limits (MRL) of Esprocarb, Ethaboxam, Trifloxystrobin, Picarbutrazox, Polyoxorim-zinc and Mandipropamid based on Article 13, Paragraph 1 of the Food Sanitation Act (Act No. 233 of 1947).
Main revisions:
1) Maximum Residue Limits (MRL)
Partial amendments have been made for the MRLs of Esprocarb, Ethaboxam, Trifloxystrobin, Picarbutrazox, Polyoxorim-zinc and Mandipropamid.
Applicable Date:
Amendments 1) shall apply from the date of publication. However, for the below food listed for each agricultural chemical etc., existing standards can still be used within one year from the announcement of this notification.
