The Ministry of Health, Labour (MHLW) announced today, 30 May, 2019 (under MHLW Notification No. 0530 No. 1 of 2019) the partial amendment of Specifications And Standards for Foods, Food additives, etc. for Thymol, Simeconazole, Tebufenpyrad, Triflumizole, Pyriofenone, Fluazifop-butyl, Fluensulfone, Metaflumizone, and Glucan extracted from brewing yeast based on Article 10 of the Food Sanitation Act (Act No. 233 of 1947); and the Partial Amendment Of Substances Designated By The Minister Of Health, Labour And Welfare As Substances That Are Unlikely To Harm Human Health Etc. in accordance with the regulations stipulated by Article 11(3) Of The Food Sanitation Act (Act No. 233 of 1947) of Japan.

Applicable Date:

This amendment shall apply from the day of notice. However, for the below food listed for each agricultural chemical etc., existing standards can still be used within 6 months from the announcement of this notification.
