Partial Amendment Of Specifications And Standards For Foods, Food Additives e.t.c. And Substances D

The Ministry of Health, Labour (MHLW) announced today, 22 January, 2019 (under MHLW Ordinance No. 9 of 2019) the partial amendment of "Specifications and standards for foods, food additives" (Act. No. 370 of 1959) for Gibberellin, Dimethenamid, Fluxapyroxad, Fluxametamide, Tau-Fluvalinate, Heptachlor, Monepantel; and the partial amendment of "Substances designated by the Minister Of Health, Labour And Welfare as substances that are unlikely to harm human health etc." (MHLW No. 498 of 2005) (under the MHLW Ordinance No. 10 of 2019) based on Article 11, Paragraph 3of the Food Sanitation Act (Act No. 233 of 1952).

Applicable Date:

This amendment shall apply from the day of notice. However, for the below food listed for each agricultural chemical etc., existing standards can still be used within 6 months from the announcement of this notification.
