SHISEIDO Launches Newly Approved Anti-Wrinkle Cream, "Wrinkle Deep Retinowhite 4"

Shiseido Company, Limited (“Shiseido”) will launch their "Wrinkle Deep Retinowhite 4" cream as a second launch under their "Shiseido Facial Expression Project".
This would be the first release of a quasi-drug anti-wrinkle and whitening cream in Japan. The launch will be released on Nov 1, 2017 (Wed) under Asia-only aging care*1 line, VITAL-PERFECTION which is sold in 88 countries and regions around the wold.

It promotes the generation of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) , increasing the moisture content in the skin, hence smoothing it out and improving the appearance of wrinkles.
Simultaneously, it's whitening agent, 4MSK (Potassium 4-methoxysalicylate) effectively suppresses the production of Melanin (that causes skin pigmentation).
Effectiveness and Efficacy of Pure Retinol:
The pure retinol active ingredient has been recognized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) for it’s effectiveness and efficacy in Japan for the first time. MHLW has acknowledged that pure retinol has the efficacy to improve level 4 deep set wrinkles in women in 9 weeks.
This is the result of Shiseido's approximately 30 years of research in wrinkle improvement technology using pure retinol.
Test method:
The Japan Cosmetics Science Society has formulated a “New Anti-wrinkle Evaluation Guidelines” for the purpose of approval of the effectiveness and efficacy of active ingredients. This efficacy clinical trial has been conducted on healthy Japanese women between the age of 37 – 54 years old (average : 46 years old) with slight shallow wrinkles to deep set wrinkles at the corners of their eyes.
Subjects were required to use “this product formulated with the active ingredient, pure retinol” and “products without pure retinol” for a period of 9 weeks. After which the wrinkle improvements were determined by a dermatologist and analyzed by a measuring device.
Significant improvements were found on subjects using the new product compared with those who used the non-pure retinol product.
Further, the results of its efficacy was further confirmed via a questionnaire that they could see improvements in the appearance of their wrinkles.
